GOLDSTIX:

This season our club is taking up the Hockey WA grassroots participation program. Goldstix provides the opportunity to learn hockey in a fun, safe and inclusive environment.

Participants have the option to purchase a brand-new Gryphon Goldstix pack with a hockey stick, ball, bag, and shin pads with the Goldstix registration.

Mouthguards are required, check out the Mouthguard page (link) for where to purchase.

Goldstix benefits

• It is a fun and safe program to introduce kids to the great game of hockey

• Through the course of the program, you will develop new hockey skills and build fundamental motor skills

• Goldstix is all inclusive - everyone is welcome to get involved

• Kids learn the game in a safe environment with modified equipment

• Everyone develops at their own speed - Goldstix activities are designed to allow kids to develop their skills at their own pace

The 2022 Goldstix Program at Canning Districts Hockey Club will commence Wednesday 4th May from 4.30-5.30pm at Ferndale Reserve on our mini turf. It will conclude with a WIND UP on Wednesday 24th August.

There is a ‘Come n Try’ on 27th April from 4.30-5.30pm at Ferndale. Bring along your friends to have ago at our great sport. Equipment is available on the day.

There is a break for the school holidays (July 6, 13). Goldstix is the fun and exciting way to get involved playing the great game of hockey in your local area.

The cost of the program is $50 plus $20 HWA online registration fee and $32.50(including GST) for the equipment pack if they want the equipment pack.

 

MOUTHGUARD AND SHIN-PADS:

It is compulsory for all Canning Cougars junior players to have mouthguards and shin-pads. Players will not be permitted on the field without appropriate safety equipment. Parents please note that this is your responsibility. Mouthguards are available at your local chemist, sporting goods store or from a specialist dental technician.

PHOTOS:

Photographs may be taken of players from time to time and published on the club website and or in local papers and newsletters or other forms of media. When registering online you can opt for no photos on social media, so we will not post any individual photos of you.
