Join us for a 3 day development program designed to elevate all of your hockey skills!

We will cover elimination skills, specialist skills, defensive skills, field positioning, penalty corners and goal keeping. Players will be split into small groups based on skill level to ensure that everyone is gaining something from our program. Our girls program will also run separately with Beth.

You can register for one, two, or three days of the program. Registration includes a CHC Futures training top (which will double as an away / clash shirt) and a BBQ lunch each day.

This program is suitable for our U12-U16 groups.

Meet Your Coaches

We’ve got an awesome lineup of passionate, experienced coaches ready to help you level up your game. Here’s who you’ll be learning from:

  • Miller Smith – Miller is a CHC raised talent who brings great leadership and playing experience, he captained the U18 Vic Development Team in 2021 and played for the U18 State Team in 2022. Miller made his CHC Men’s Premier League debut in 2024 and knows what it takes to compete at the top level.

  • Lachie Paice – Lachie’s another long-term CHC player who has been part of the U18 National Futures Squad and is a current U21 Victorian player (2023 & 2025). He made his MPL debut in 2022 and brings heaps of energy, knowledge, and a real passion for helping young players improve.

  • Sam Lowndes – Sam is a highly skilled player who moved from country Vic to CHC. Sam’s hockey highlights include selection in the U21 National Squad two years running (2024 & 2025) and selection in the Mavericks team competing in the New Zealand Premier League. Since making his CHC Premier League debut in 2021, he’s built a strong reputation for his technical ability.

  • Oskar Wallace – Oskar is another homegrown talent. He is our CHC Futures GK coach this school holiday program and is the current Men’s Pennant A (MPA) keeper. He made his MPL debut in 2022 and has a great way of helping goalkeepers build their technique and confidence between the posts.

  • Beth Lyon – Beth debuted in Premier League in 2014, and moved to CHC in 2021. She played two years of Premier League for the club before retiring the stick. She is now a dedicated coach, a part of the 2024 CHC WPLR premiership team coaching staff, the 2024 Hockey Club Melbourne Futures coaching staff, and the 2025 Bronze Medalist Vic U16 Girls coaching staff.
