We Need Age Managers

Being an Age Manager is one of the most important jobs in Little Athletics. You’re there to support and guide our young athletes, helping them learn, grow, and enjoy their time in the sport. The experience they have at our Centre can really shape how they feel about athletics – and you have the chance to make that experience a great one. We know you’re volunteering your time, and we truly appreciate you stepping up to take on this important role.

Age Managers oversee communicating with member's families, running the weekly rotations, and recording results. Many of our Age Managers roll over from season to season as their athletes move through the age groups so are both competent and confident and are very happy to assist and support any parents and carers interested in taking on the role of Age Manager.

Involvement
We require at least one Age Manager for each age group, depending on registration numbers we can need one for the Boys and another for the Girls for each age group. This can be several people taking on the role on a rotating basis or one person for the entire season but there must be an Age Manager every single Saturday morning meet.

FAQs
Who can be an Age Manager?

If you are the parent or carer of a child, you can be their Age Manager. Tiny Tots have Centre allocated Choas Co-ordinator (Manager). We do require you to have a current Working With Vulernable People card.

What you need to know?
Nothing, our Age Manager Co-ordinator will help guide you. We have detailed age managers folders for your reference. You can access some of the information on our website or the Captial Athletics website.

What do I wear each night?
Comfortable clothes and covered shoes. You’ll wear an Age Manager vest so that you can be easily seen.

What if I’m away?
Organise another parent or carer the week before if possible. This can be done by asking the other parents or asking the Age Manager Co-ordinator for assistance.  Everyone can have a turn. Please email littleaclac@gmail.com if you can't find a replacement.

What’s in it for me?
You’ll see your child compete, you’ll learn new skills, you’ll be a role model for your child, you’ll make the morning run smoothly and even do some light exercise.
