We are organising our first pickleball tournament to be played at 9am on Saturday 25th October 2025 at the Callala Bay Tennis Court. We are hoping it leads to something we do on a regular basis.
The tournament on the 25th October is open to all Callala Pickleball Club members. It will be an individual competition but we will play doubles.
Here’s how the tournament will unfold.
It will be a round robin event. Each player will be paired up with someone. You will play one game with that person. The score for that game will be the points both team members earn. For example, if the score for your game was 11 – 8 and you lost; each of the losing players would be awarded 8 points and each of the winning players would get 11 points. You inform the tournament organiser, who will keep a tally of everyone’s points. You will then be teamed up with a different player and play another game. The number of games you play will be determined on the day. Your points for the games you play will be tallied after every game. The player with the most points at the end of the tournament will be the winner! Prizes will be determined on the day.
To make the tournament run smoothly we ask each member to register their intent to play before the 22nd of October. It will also help us with catering.
