We are excited to announce a Development Clinic for ages 9-13 in collaboration with Mandurah Water Polo Association. Marko Draksimovic will be running this exciting opportunity for our kids in Bunbury(see bio below for more about the coach!)
When; Sunday 28th August 10am -2pm
Where; South West Sports Centre- Olympic pool and BWPA Clubrooms
Cost; $10 pp plus pool entry - includes healthy snack and lunch/drink at the end of the day
What to bring; Bathers, towel, mouthguard and water bottle
Format of the clinic;
9:45 -11:30am Meet on pool deck- deep end of 50m pool. Participants are expected to be ready to take the water at 10am. There will be a series of warms ups, drills and skills followed by game practice.
11:30-12:30/1pm Board session in the Bunbury WPA Clubrooms and light, healthy energising snacks provided in the Clubrooms
12:30/1-2pm Back in the pool for game practice and a chance to implement the new skills they have learned
About the Coach
Marko has been playing water polo in his native Serbia since the age of 6 and had a professional career competing on National and International stages for 10 years. He arrived in Australia in 2015 and has been an active player in our Western Australian Premier League as well as playing in the Australian Water Polo League. He has also represented Western Australia and Australia in the country team’s .
In Rockhampton (2018) and Gold Coast (2019) at the Australian Country Championship he coached the Women's WA State Team. Later in 2019 he was the head coach of the Australian Country women’s team in Hong Kong.
Today Marko is head coach of Mandurah Water Polo Association where he creates and coordinates programs for juniors, seniors and Stroll O Polo.
