I acknowledge and agree that:
Stand-up paddleboarding is a water-based activity with inherent risks, including falling, collision, weather changes, and injury. I voluntarily accept these risks.
I confirm that I am physically fit to participate, can swim, and have no medical condition that would make participation unsafe.
A personal flotation device (PFD) will be offered by BSYC. Wearing a PFD is optional. Participants who choose not to wear a PFD do so at their own risk, and BSYC is not liable for any resulting injury or loss.
I agree to remain within the designated paddling area, to follow all safety instructions given by BSYC staff and return to shore if instructed due to safety or weather conditions.
I accept responsibility for the care of the hired equipment and to pay for any damage or loss caused by misuse or negligence.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release and indemnify Brighton & Seacliff Yacht Club, its staff and volunteers from all liability arising from my participation when Stand up Paddle Boarding.
I confirm that I am not under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
If signing on behalf of a minor, I confirm I am the parent or legal guardian and accept full responsibility.
