2024 U16 REPRESENTATIVE PROGRAM DETAILS

Eligibility

You must be a Primary Registered BWHA Member to nominate for a Brisbane Representative Team

As per the BWHA Operations Manual, players must only represent their respective age group.

  1. Age for each Selection Group:
  1. U12: players must be turning 11 or 12 in the current year
  2. U14: players must be turning 13 or 14 in the current year
  3. U16: players must be turning 15 or 16 in the current year
  4. U18: players must be turning 17 or 18 in the current year
  5. Open: Players must be turning 19 or over in the current year
  6. Masters: Players must be turning 34 or over in the current year

U16 Representative Birth Years for 2024 are 2008 – 2009

U16 Southern Cross: Sunday August 11 – Ipswich Hockey Association

U16 State Championships: Thursday September 19 – Sunday September 22 – Sunshine Coast Hockey Association

Trial Nomination Fee Per Player: $45.00

Tournament Cost Per Selected Player: $700.00

Players are expected to be available to attend all trial dates as listed below:

Trial 1 - Sunday, July 14, 2024 - 7.00am to 11.30am, Field 2, SHC

Trial 2 - Sunday, July 21, 2024 - 7.00am to 11.30am, Field 1, SHC

Trial 3 - Sunday, July 28, 2024 - 7.00am to 11.30am, Field 1, SHC

Southern Cross Teams will be announced by 5pm on Wednesday, August 7, 2024

For the U16 age group in 2024, there is no Southern Cross training.
 

Post Southern Cross, if then selected in a State Championships team, players will be required to attend 5 training sessions on the following dates:

August 18, August 25, September 1, September 11 (Weds), September 15 (Weds)

Late nominations will not be accepted.
