ENTRY CONDITIONS:

  1. Tournament Control: The tournament will be held under the current ITTF Laws of Table Tennis and Regulations for International Competitions, as well as any applicable TTA and TTQ rules and regulations. The BTTA organisers reserve the right to cancel or combine events in which insufficient entries have been received.

  2. Affiliation: All entrants must be registered Club, Associate or Life member of BTTA (at Club Comp or Comp Plus level). Juniors actively engaged in BTTA's coaching program may play in rated events if they are BTTA Club Play members and have a Ratings Central rating.

  3. Entries: Entries must be made via the BTTA RevolutioniseSport Portal. Telephone or email entries will not be accepted. Late entries may be accepted at the discretion of the organisers. Entrants are only permitted to enter one (1) event with simultaneous starting times.

  4. Fees & Levies: Entrants are liable for all event fees, which must be paid in-person over the counter upon arrival to the centre.

  5. Event Format: Where possible, singles events will begin with round-robin groups of three, with one or two players progressing to a knockout phase. If entries exceed pre-allocated estimates, some events may be knockout only. Doubles events with three pairs will be round-robin only; all other doubles events will be knockout only.

  6. Match Format: All matches will be the best of five (5) games.

  7. Seeding & Grading: All seeding and grading is at the discretion of the Referee. Ratings Central (at the time of the close of entries) will be used as a reference. Grading for doubles will be based on the average rating of both players.

  8. Match Control: Each match will be controlled by an umpire whose decision will be final on points of fact. The decision of the Referee or Deputy Referee will be final on points of law.

  9. Timings & Attendance: Event times are approximate. Players should be available at least 15 minutes prior to their advertised time slot. Players not available when called will be liable for disqualification. If unable to be present at the correct time, players must notify the organisers of their anticipated arrival, though disqualification may still apply.

  10. Umpiring: There is an expectation for all players to umpire matches. Specifically, losing players (including the last in a round-robin group) are required to umpire the next match in that event. Any player wishing to leave the centre between scheduled matches must obtain prior approval from the Referee or Tournament Director to confirm they are not required for play or umpiring.

  11. Balls & Clothing: ITTF-approved white Yinhe H40+ 3 Star balls will be used for all matches. Consequently, competitors must not wear predominantly white or pale-coloured clothing.

  12. Venue Specifications: The facility features 21 courts (approx. 10m x 5.4m) with Red Taraflex flooring over wood and bright LED lighting. Equipment includes 18x Tibhar Smash 28/R Black Line tables and 3x SAN-EI Paragon Sensor tables.

  13. Player Equipment: Players must use a racket meeting ITTF standards, including currently ITTF-approved rubbers.

  14. Conduct: Players shall engage in what the community would perceive to be good sportsmanship and respect for others.

  15. Prizes: Open and Women’s Singles prize money is set at (W $150, RU $75). Vouchers are set at W $40 RU $20 for Singles Events, and W $20 RU $10 for Doubles Events.

  17. Participating at Own Risk: You acknowledge that participating in table tennis contains inherent risks. You fully accept and assume all responsibility for losses, costs, and damages incurred as a result of participation. You waive and release BTTA from all claims, demands, and liabilities arising out of your participation in the tournament and use of the facilities.

  18. Defined Terms: In these Event Conditions, ‘BTTA’ means Brisbane Table Tennis Association Incorporated, and where the context permits, includes its respective administrators, directors, agents, officers, officials, committee members, volunteers, employees, other participants, and any sponsors.
