Coaching Experience & Specialities

Dan has been a BTTA Adult Beginner, Junior Beginner, and Junior Intermediate Coach since 2021. He has also coached numerous BTTA Junior and Senior team at multiple Queensland Events.

As a “combination bat” (Pimples) player, he specializes in teaching all the different kinds of rubber, spin and styles in the game – for adults and juniors, He is great at helping players play the style and game they like – but with good, solid technique and fundamentals, both for injury management and for developing as a player. Tactics are a big focus as well – how to structure points and games in order to maximise your strengths!

He also specialises in working with junior players, particularly younger players just getting into the game – As a pre-service teacher and current school care worker, I combine my skills at working with children in education and coaching to provide fun lessons where the students learn in a way which suits them. He is quite capable with complex behavior, younger students, or students who may have difficulty working in larger groups. Contact me and we can discuss it further!

Playing since 2008, Dan learned to play as an adult and decided to get coaching – work on his skill, and to become a proper player. He has learned all fundamental skills and have had multiple successes as a player, including:

• QLD Team member for Aus Open 2012
• QLD O30’s Team member in 2018,2019 – winning Gold and Silver Respectively
• QLD open and Veteran over 30’s doubles and teams champion on multiple occasions, singles medallist

• Level 1 Course Completed - Accreditation Pending
• Currently Studying Bachelor of Education (Primary)
