Format:                 Singles – Level Play.  Play starts at 08:00am.
To be determined, dependent on entry numbers.

Entry:                     $40.00 (includes Morning & Afternoon tea) payable on entry. 

                                Maximum 16 players accepted.

TOURNAMENT CONDITIONS

Golf Events

                  Events with fewer than four entries may be cancelled.

                  No refunds given to anyone withdrawing after the draw.

                  Eligibility for events will be determined by registered players’ official AHS handicap as at the closing date.
Players will play on their current handicap at the start of each game.

                  Play will start at 08:00 each day. Registration will open at 7.30am when emergency contact details and handicap cards must be presented to the Tournament Manager or delegate. 

                  Players will be given 15 minutes grace to arrive, then a forfeit may be claimed.  A player forfeiting a game will be withdrawn; scores for and against will be deleted from the results but game results will be computed in rankings and on handicap cards.

                  Hoops will be set as near as possible to 3 11/16 inches with a tolerance of minus 1/32 inch.
Quadway hoops will be in use. 

                  Dawson International balls will be used.

                  After the coin toss for the start, a 5-minute warm up period with 2 balls will be permitted before a player’s first game of the day, when hoops may only be run in a controlled fashion.

                  Format (block, round robin etc) will be dependent on entry numbers.

                  Draw will be seeded – based on players’ world rankings at the entry close date.

                  13 point games, 1 hour per game, stop on the bell; if tied play to the next hoop won.

                  Players could play up to 7 games per day. Double banking where necessary.

                  The Tournament Manager may make any alterations to the program, draw and other arrangements as are necessary to complete the tournament in the time available.

                  Players will be allowed a short break between games to complete cards and a lunch break at the Tournament Manager’s discretion.  Game results are to be recorded at the Manager’s direction and signed or sighted by both players. The TM and the TR will ensure games proceed without delays to enable completion of the scheduled program.

                  Handicap cards must be updated after each game.

                  All entrants will be notified of their acceptance.  Entries will not be accepted from non-affiliated players.

                  Bribie Island Croquet Club reserves the right to cancel any event and all decisions of the manager will be final.

General Items

Ø    Handicap cards are mandatory & these need to be correct & up to date.

Ø    The Tournament will be conducted in a Covid-safe environment.

Ø    Dress:    Club Uniform is preferred, however not mandatory. 
What the club does insist upon is that all players are clean, neat & tidy.  Closed in shoes are mandatory - bare feet are not acceptable within the croquet grounds or club rooms.
The club does have shower facilities if any player wishes to ‘freshen up’ prior any presentation.

Ø    Results will be posted on www.croquetscores.com as well as in the club house.

Ø    Photography will occur during play on both days. 
Award Presentation photography will be used for promotional purposes – Sponsors / newspaper / magazines etc.

Ø    Cancellation of event.  This will only happen in dire circumstances. 
However, if during the week preceding the tournament inclement weather is expected for the weekend, the club will email you & include alternate directions on how to bypass parts of the Bribie Island Road.
            Remember to bring wet weather gear.

Ø    Practice:  Lawns will be available from 3.30pm on Friday 30th May.
