Ballarat Roller Derby League – Participant Waiver Form
1. Limitation of Liability
1.1 I hereby release the Ballarat Roller Derby League and its Officeholders, Employees, Representatives, Volunteers, and Agents (‘BRDL’) to the maximum extent permitted by law from all liability in respect of any and all claims for any injury or loss which I sustain in the course of, or resulting from, my participation in the Event held by the BRDL.
1.2 I acknowledge and agree that the BRDL holds the full benefit of this waiver of rights as outlined above.
1.3 In signing this form, I acknowledge the inherent risks of participating in the BRDL Event, including but not limited to, the risk of physical injury or property damage.
2. Warranties of Participant
2.1 I agree to be respectful of all BRDL volunteers and all property and equipment of the BRDL whilst participating in the Event.
2.2 I agree to refrain from engaging in any form of verbal or physical aggression towards any persons present at the Event.
2.3 I acknowledge that the BRDL reserves the right to require me to leave the Event if I do not comply with the warranties at 2.1 and 2.2 above or otherwise at the
reasonable discretion of the BRDL.
3. Adults accompanying Children
3.1 Any Participant under the age of 18 cannot participate in the Event unless they are accompanied by an adult.
3.2 If I am an adult accompanying a Participant, I agree to supervise the Participant under 18 years of age at all times and I acknowledge that I am responsible for any actions of the Participant in breach of the warranties at 2.1 and 2.2 above, or otherwise the safety and wellbeing of the Participant.
4. Insurance
4.1 I acknowledge that this Event is not insured by Skate Australia.
4.2 By signing this form, I acknowledge that I may not hold insurance with Skate Australia and accordingly, will not be insured for any injury or loss resulting from my participation in the Event.
