Discover sailing in a supportive and fun environment
Women are invited to join us for a welcoming three-part sailing program designed to introduce and reconnect women with sailing. Whether you're completely new to the sport, have enjoyed a few lessons, are returning after time away, or are ready to take the first steps towards living the dream of a cruising lifestyle, these sessions will help you build confidence, learn new skills, and connect with our sailing community.
What to Expect
13 September – discover sailing
- Welcome and introduction to the club
- Meet your sailing buddy and fellow participants

Sailing briefing and morning tea
- Hands-on sailing experience on the water
27 September – build your skills
- Learn how to prepare the boat

Practice sail trimming and have a go at steering

Develop confidence as you learn by doing
11 October – sail and celebrate
- Take part in a fun, friendly sailing event
- Put your new skills into practice with experienced sailors by your side

Enjoy a post-sailing celebration of your achievements

Who can join?
Sail Our Way is open to women of all ages and experience levels. No previous sailing experience is required. The program is designed to be inclusive, supportive, and social, with experienced female sailors and club volunteers available to guide you every step of the way.
How much does it cost?
It’s free, thanks to our fabulous volunteers and a small grant from Australian Sailing.
On completing the program, participants will be eligible to save $50 off crew membership. Usually $170 per year.
