Boccia NSW 2021 State Titles
Penrith Valley Regional Sports Centre
9th - 12th July 2021

Singles on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Teams and Pairs on Monday

 

- All athletes and sports assistants will need to be Boccia Australia members. Remember to check, and if you have diffuclties, email us on NSW@boccia.com.au

- We are able to offer the same entry fee as last year, only $125

- Maximum athlete participants will be a total of 56 accross all categories (BC1, BC2, BC3, BC4/5/EMU) with no cap within classifications.

- There are numerous hotels in the area:

  • Quest Penrith - recommended by Penrith Valley Regional Sports Centre (PVRSC). They are in partnership with them and said they would offer a 10% discount. It is next to the train station and not far from the venue (1.5 klms). They have 6 accessible rooms.
  • Mecure at Panthers - 13 minutes/6kms away.
  • Holiday Inn St Marys - 8 minutes/5.3kms away - looks new
  • Novotel Sydney West HQ @ Rooty Hill - 20minutes/14kms away.

 

PAYMENT INFORMATION

Payments for registration can be made by EFT. An invoice will be sent to all those registering with payment details.

REFRESHMENTS

There is a very good Café in the venue and a decent eating area. 

 

PARKING

There is plenty of free parking at the venue

 

GOVERNING RULES

At this stage, BISFed International Boccia Rules v3 will govern the competition. The rules are available at http://www.bisfed.com/.  Athletes will be notified if there are changes to these rules.


 

CLASSIFICATION

Athletes who are new or have a classification with a Sport Class Status of Review or a Review Fixed Date of 2020 or earlier as per the Masterlist at the following link https://cdn.revolutionise.com.au/site/searlmpc6gxbcf4s.pdf  will require classification to compete in the event.  Paralympics Australia (PA) will be holding a classification opportunity on June 26th and 27th at Sydney Olympic Park.  Please contact Adam Varallo atclassification@paralympic.org.au to register for a classification assessment.  Adam will follow up with all athletes requiring classification to provide details relating to time and location.  Classification assessments will take about 45 mins and are free.  

 

COMPETITION STRUCTURE

Pairs and Teams divisions will consist of:

BC3 Pairs

BC4/BC5/EMU Pairs

BC1/BC2 Teams (each team must have at least one BC1 athlete). 

 

Pairs and teams will be formed in several ways:

1. Club membership

2. You may form your own team (eg 2 club members and an individual athlete)

3. Individual players may request organisers to be placed in a team or pair.

 

Individual divisions will consist of: BC1, BC2, BC3, BC4, BC5 & EMU. Please note that classifications may be merged together depending on player entries for each classification.

 

GRANTS

Boccia NSW would like to invite NSW athletes who have never attended the Boccia NSW State titles to apply for a one-off grant to assist them to attend these titles. The grant is for $300 and will be awarded to 3 athletes who fulfil the criteria as outlined below. 

 

The athlete must

• Have never attended the Boccia NSW State titles before

• Live in New South Wales. Priority will be given to athletes from regional and rural areas

• Provide a brief outline of why they should be considered.

Athlete Indemnity

 

I, the undersigned hereby agree Boccia New South Wales or anybody or association in any way with the conduct or participation in the Boccia New South Wales State Titles – Friday, 20 March 2020 – Monday, 23 March 2020 (of which persons, bodies or associations are severally and jointly included in the term ("identified”) shall not be deemed responsible or liable in any way for injury, to me sustained in, arising from, or function of nature held during the period of competition, or prior to or subsequent thereto if anyway connected with directly or indirectly with the said competition and hereby identify the indemnified against any actions, suits, cause of actions, demands, and claims by me and hereby agree (so) that the indemnified may act as our agents in incurring such expenses as and/or doing whatsoever is reasonably necessary for the benefit of me in conjunction with or arising out of any such illness or mishap.

Permission to Use Photographs/Video Footage

 

Boccia New South Wales State Titles 2020

I, the undersigned give Boccia New South Wales my permission to use photographs/video footage of myself.

The photographs/video may be used for the following:

• Boccia Presentations

• General Community Promotions

• For the education and training of athletes and coaches

• for external publications or promotional activities outside Boccia NSW and Cerebral Palsy Alliance, including print, broadcast, electronic (e.g. website) or other medium

 

I understand that I am free to withdraw permission prior to the material being published by contacting Boccia New South Wales. I also understand that I will receive no payment, for the use of the photograph/video footage.
