BNSW Committee

The BNSW committee is a volunteer group of people who meet 8- 10 times a year, assisting with the daily administration and operations of the association. It is affiliated with Boccia Australia, and adheres to the rules and regulations as directed by BisFed, the international Boccia Federation.

Boccia NSW oversees the competition programs, including the State Titles, Boccia Development League as well as assisting in the running of local club and kids competitions.

The association also coordinates the state representative team to compete at the Boccia Australia National Championships.

The goal of the committee is to increase participation and skill levels of boccia among people with a disability from both regional & metropolitan areas through the conduct of an on-going training and events, for both athletes, club managers & volunteers.

Its objectives are:

  • to build capacity across NSW for adults and children with a disability to have increased regular opportunities to participate in boccia,

  • to deliver programs or services address barriers to participation in boccia, by both athletes and volunteers
