Friday Night Family Hockey

Join us for 8 weeks of Friday night family hockey, running from Friday 16 October to 4 December, 7:00 pm–9:00 pm.

Create your own family team or register individually and we’ll help allocate you to a team.

Competition format

• 6-a-side, with up to 2 substitutes
• Maximum of 3 adults on the field per team at any one time
• Minimum player age: 10 years
• Games will consist of two 20-minute halves with a 5-minute half-time break
• No goalkeeper
• No hitting or slapping
• No lifting the ball above ankle height
• No rough play

What to Wear & Player Safety

Teams should wear matching-coloured shirts or socks so you can easily identify your teammates on the field. Feel free to get creative with your team colours and look – it’s all part of the Family Hockey fun!

For player safety, all players must wear shin pads and a mouthguard to take the field. Please make sure you bring both with you each week.

The focus is on fun, family and community. It’s a great way to spend time with family, friends and the Hills Hockey community, get some exercise and enjoy good conversation, music and plenty of laughs.

Registration cost

• Juniors (14 years and under): $30
• Adults: $50

Participant Waiver

All players are required to read and accept the Hills Hockey Participant Waiver as part of the RevSport registration process.

Players who are not currently registered for hockey in 2026 through a club and Hockey NSW should note that participation in this competition does not constitute registration with Hockey NSW or Hockey Australia.
