BADMINTON GEELONG MEMBERS TOURNAMENT 2025 – PROSPECTUS
1. Tournament Overview
Badminton Geelong is excited to announce its exclusive Members Tournament 2025, open only to registered Badminton Geelong members. This event aims to provide our members with a fun, competitive environment while promoting community spirit and sportsmanship within the club.
2. Event Details
Date: 15th November 2025
Venue: Badminton Geelong Stadium
Events: - Men’s Singles (MS)
- Women’s Singles (WS)
- Men’s Doubles (MD)
- Women’s Doubles (WD)
- Mixed Doubles (XD)
Eligibility: - Open exclusively to current financial members of Badminton Geelong. - Players must have an active membership at the time of entry and during the tournament.
3. Entry Fees
Singles: $40 per player
Doubles: $30 per player per event ($60 per pair)
Each player may enter a maximum of 3 events (1 singles, 1 doubles, 1 mixed doubles).
4. Entry and Payment
Entries must be submitted via the official Badminton Geelong Members Tournament Entry Form. Payment must accompany the entry to confirm participation.
Entry Deadline: 5th November 2025 | 11:59 pm
Entries without payment or received after the closing date will not be accepted.

5. Tournament Format
Events will follow a Round Robin format, followed by knockout finals (subject to entries).
Matches will be played using the Rally Point Scoring System (Best of 3 games to 15 points) in accordance with BWF Laws of Badminton.
Players must report to the control desk at least 15 minutes before their scheduled match
time.
6. Schedule
Draws and schedules will be published 2 days prior to the event on the Badminton Geelong noticeboard.
Matches may be played on Saturday, 15th November only. Following the matches there is a
EOY Dinner party at East Geelong Golf Club.
7. Prizes
Winners and runners-up will receive medals, trophies and certificates.
The prize distribution will take place at the EOY Dinner Party at East Geelong Golf Club at 7:30 pm.
8. Attire & Equipment
Players must wear appropriate badminton attire and non-marking shoes.
Feather shuttles (Snowpeak C1130) will be used for all matches.
9. General Rules
The referee’s and tournament committee’s decisions will be final.
Misconduct or unsportsmanlike behaviour may result in disqualification.
In the event of insufficient entries, some events may be combined or cancelled.
No refunds after the entry closing date unless the event is cancelled by the organiser.
