Bellarine Athletics Club Annual Report 2024–25: Key Highlights and Achievements

The Bellarine Athletics Club is pleased to present the Annual Report for the 2024–25 season. Here are the key highlights:

• AGM: Scheduled for Sunday, 25th May, 4:00–6:00 PM at 34 Ormond Road, East Geelong.
• Leadership: Chris Unthank (President), Amanda Unthank (Secretary), Sarah Cotchett (Registrar); Treasurer role vacant.
• Season Challenges: Early disruptions due to Landy Field resurfacing impacted participation.
• Athlete Success: U20 Women won the Gabrielle Blyth Trophy; standout performances from Miller Smith, Lachlan Burns, and others.
• Financials: Net profit of $408.92; strong sponsor support and prudent cost management.
• Membership: 40 members, with a strong junior base; new and returning members welcomed.
• Media & Engagement: Growth across Facebook and Instagram; WhatsApp introduced for quick updates.
• Sponsorship & Grants: $1,300 raised from eight sponsors; $500 Woolworths Grant secured.
• AVSL Report: Finished 10th in Division 3; U20 Women placed 2nd overall; Round 9 Powerplay was a season highlight.
• In Memoriam: Honouring Bruce Bauer and Alan “Dizzy” Lynch for their contributions.
