♻️ Join our Recycle for Bellarine Athletics Fundraiser! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

We’re excited to launch our Recycle for Bellarine Athletics campaign — a great way to support our club while making a positive impact on the environment.

Every eligible drink container you return can raise 10¢ for Bellarine Athletics. It’s a small action that could add up to big support for our club!

✅ How to Get Involved

Taking part is easy:

1. Download the CDS Vic West app on your phone.
2. In the app, select “Bellarine Athletics” from the charity list and set it as your payout.
3. Collect eligible drink containers (bottles, cans, cartons).
4. Return them to any CDS Vic West reverse vending machine or refund point.
5. That’s it — your recycling earns funds for our club!

📱 App Instructions

Need help setting up the app? Follow these steps:

1. Download the CDS Vic West App via the App Store or Google Play.
2. Create an account or log in.
3. Tap the “Charity” tab in the app menu.
4. Search for "Bellarine Athletics" and select it.
5. Tap “Set as Payout” to ensure your refunds go straight to the club.
6. You're ready to start recycling and raising funds!

🧃 What Containers Are Eligible?

You can return most drink containers that are:

• Between 150mL and 3L in size
• Made of plastic, glass, aluminium, steel, or liquid paperboard (cartons)
• Display the 10¢ refund mark on the label

❌ Not eligible: wine & spirit bottles, milk containers, cordial bottles, juice cartons and juice/milk over 3L

📍 Where to Recycle

There are 17 CDS Vic return points across Greater Geelong offering 10¢ refunds per eligible container.

📲 Using the App at Reverse Vending Machines

You can use the app at any RVM Point in Victoria’s West Zone:

1. Scan your personal CDS Vic App barcode at the RVM. You’ll see your name displayed on the machine screen.
2. Return your empty containers by inserting them into the RVM for recycling.
3. Once you’re finished, select Payout on the screen.
4. 100% of your recycling refunds will be donated directly to Bellarine Athletics.

• Equipment – Purchasing and upgrading
• Club Activities – Running social activities and events
• Athlete Support – Assisting with competition and relay costs
• Club Operations – Investing in the immediate and long-term viability of the club
