2026 Club Match Calendar & Roster **UPDATED JUNE 17***

Published Wed 17 Jun 2026

**Changes effective July 1**

Match Schedule Changes

New Saturday Afternoon Match

A new 2:00pm Saturday match has been added to the calendar. This will rotate through Rapid Fire, 50m Pistol, Centre Fire/Sport Pistol and Standard Pistol.

Changes to Saturday Morning Matches

Previously, the Saturday morning session overlapped a 25m Match and an Air Pistol Match at 9:30am. To provide more dedicated time for each discipline, and hopefully increase participation in both, these have now been separated:

  • 9:30am – 25m Match (alternating weekly between Centre Fire/Sport Pistol and Standard Pistol)
  • 11:30am – Air Pistol Match

For now there is no scheduled Saturday morning Rapid Fire match, however it will appear regularly in the new Saturday afternoon rotation.

Range Officer Roster

As part of the new calendar, members have been allocated Range Officer (RO) duties throughout the year. This means your name might be on the list so please check!

If your rostered date or time does not suit, please let a committee person know and we will work with you to find a suitable alternative.

If you have been allocated a RO spot and genuinely feel unable to assist with running a club match, please let us know. Likewise, if your name is not currently on the roster and you would like to help out, we'd love to hear from you!

You may notice that some members have been rostered as the RO even though they have not previously run a match. Club matches are the grassroots level of our sport and the ideal place for members to gain experience and confidence in match administration.

The primary role of the Range Officer is:

  1. To ensure the safe operation of the range.
  2. To conduct the match in accordance with the match rules.

To support our Range Officers, match cards are available on all ranges that outline the process for running each match. When someone is taking on the role for the first time, we will ensure that a more experienced member is available to provide guidance and support.

We would also ask all members to remember that some matches may be run by newer Range Officers. Please extend them the same patience, encouragement and understanding that you would have appreciated when learning the role yourself.

As always, the running of a scheduled match does not preclude you from using another available range for practice or to shoot an alternative match of your choosing provided you have arranged your own range officer to be present on that range.

Thank you to all who contribute their time to help our club operate. The willingness of members to step up and assist is crucial to keeping our club growing and our matches running.

Kind regards,

BTPC Committee
