Coffs Coast 9’s is an annual carnival in honour of local hockey legend, Bruce Barnier. It’s a great part of our pre-season preparation and also a lot of fun. The majority of matches are scheduled on the Saturday with some preliminary games on a Friday night (usually for local teams) and finals on the Sunday morning.

The carnival has two separate divisions (1^st Div and 2^nd Div) so there’s something available for players of all levels. Please note that all teams are ‘mixed’ and can include anyone that has turned 13 prior to the start of the carnival. It’s a really safe environment with hybrid rules (i.e no drag-flicking and first shot on goal by a female for short corners) and a fun atmosphere. It’s our intention to enter a team in first division and at least two teams in second division (including the world famous ‘Purple Reign’).
