Shuttle Smash: Girls into Badminton – Wynyard Girls Program
Shuttle Smash: Girls into Badminton is a girls-only badminton participation program delivered by Badminton Tasmania in partnership with Wynyard High School, with support from North Western Badminton Association.
The program is designed to give girls aged 12–18 a fun and welcoming opportunity to try badminton, develop their skills, build confidence and connect with ongoing badminton opportunities.
The first session will be a Come & Try, so girls are welcome to come along and give badminton a go.
Term 3 Sessions
The first four sessions will be held at Wynyard High School Gym from 3.15pm–4.15pm on:

Tuesday 25 August
Tuesday 1 September
Tuesday 8 September
Term 4 Sessions
The program will continue with five additional sessions at Wynyard High School Gym from 3.15pm–4.15pm on:
Wednesday 21 October
Wednesday 28 October
Wednesday 4 November
Wednesday 11 November
Wednesday 18 November
There is no cost to participate and all equipment is provided. Girls who participate in the program will also receive a free badminton racquet.
Sessions will be supported by Wynyard High School HPE teachers Luke Pieremont and Sophie Mitchell, with David Turner also involved in some of the Term 4 sessions.
