Badminton coaches who are actively coaching in Australia within any affilited programs (including schools), venues and organisations must be registered. Without a valid registration, coaches cannot attend courses, are not covered under the Badminton Australia policies including the National Integrity Framework, will not be able to coach at national events and are not covered for professional liability insurance.

To be eligible to register, you must meet the following requirements:

• Hold a recognised coaching qualification (Shuttle Time, BA Foundation, BWF L1, BWF L2, BWF L3). Where a qualification is hybrid (online followed by face to face), you are only qualified if you complete both so a certificate from the online training is not sufficient.
• If 18+, have a current Working With Children Check, or equivalent for your S/T
• Have completed Sport Integrity Australia's Safeguarding Children and Young People in Sport Induction course
• Have never been investigated or sanctioned by a sporting body for breach of professional standards, code of conduct or child safeguarding, or have received an exemption from Badminton Australia - please contact integrity@badminton.org.au for enquiries related to this point
