The Bunbury Junior Carnival will be held over the June long weekend, commencing 8am on Saturday 1st June and ending around 1pm on Monday 3rd June (WA Day).

Bunbury & Districts Hockey Association is looking to form 12 teams to participate in the carnival.

Championship Grade (Competitive)

• Year 5/6 Boys and Year 5/6 Girls
• Year 7/8 Boys and Year 7/8 Girls
• Year 9/10 Boys Year 9/10 and Girls

Carnival Grade

• Year 5/6 Boys* and Year 5/6 Girls*
• Year 7/8 Boys and Year 7/8 Girls
• Year 9/10 Boys Year 9/10 and Girls

*Year 4 players will be considered for Year 5/6 Carnival Grade teams only. However, priority will be given to Year 5/6 players ahead of any Year 4 nominations.

Any player wishing to play in a Championship team must participate in the trial process. BDHA will be holding trials and training sessions (dates to be announced) and players will also be watched during club games once the junior season commences.

All players must nominate and play in their own age division. If they wish to play up in a higher age group, this needs to be discussed and approved by the committee. However, they will still be expected to play in their own grade first.

For players who do not want to be placed in the competitive Championship Grade, you can elect to be placed directly into a Carnival Grade team. These players are not expected to attend trials, but will be asked to attend some training sessions in the lead up to the carnival.

Uniform shirts will be provided, however players are expected to supply their own socks and shorts/skirts. If you don't already own these items, these can be purchased from Intersport Bunbury, or online through the Bunbury Hockey RevSport Shop . You will be notified when these are available to purchase. Please check with friends or family to see if they have any items you can borrow before purchasing.

A nomination fee of $50 is required at the time of registration.
