New to motorsport? Want to take to the track in your own car with experienced help in the passenger seat?
In it's 3rd year, AWDCC are running their Driver Development Day open to women of all ages and juniors 14-20years (guys and girls!).
Our days are designed to give you basic skills and confidence in understanding your car, the track and how to be safe in motorsport.
We have a team of experienced drivers in our car club who volunteer their time to help introduce new participants to motorsport.
On the day we cover:
Morning:

- getting comfortable in your car (belts, mirrors, seat)
- braking (including brake tests on the straight)
- understanding cornering (entering and exiting corners on the track)

Afternoon:
- timed laps of the Barnwartha circuit on your own or with an experienced passenger with you for support. Limited to 3 people on the track at a time.

You will need an approved helmet and your own vehicle, all levels of experience are welcome. Full details are found in the Supplementary Regulations.

Places are limited to 30 participants. With women AND juniors this year we are expecting a sell out.

The Women and Juniors Driver Development Day is supported by Change Our Game, an initiative of the Victorian Government.

*** please note the date has changed from 24th February to 28th April, 2019 ***
