Hello, my name is JAGMEET SINGH (Jimmy) and I am a professional badminton coach BWF qualified,I have been playing badminton for last 20 years and coaching for last 6 years. I have had the privilege to coach players at all levels, from beginners to advanced, and I am passionate about helping them achieve their goals.

 Beginner Training

For beginners, my approach is to first introduce them to the game of badminton and its rules. I make sure to keep them interested by telling them about the current players who are doing well in the sport. We then start the day with a series of warm-up exercises to prepare their muscles for the training session.

 Warm-up Exercises

Static warm-up exercises that we do include:

Arm circles

Leg swings

Hip circles

Trunk twists

Neck rotations

Dynamic warm-up exercises that we do include:

Jogging

High knees

Butt kicks

Skipping

Jumping jacks

On-court Practices

On-court badminton practices include a variety of drills such as:

Net practice

Footwork drills

Smash practice

Clear practice

Drop shot practice

Drive practice

 Defensive and attacking Play

We focus on both defensive and offensive play, and teach the players the different shots in badminton such as the forehand, backhand, overhead, and underarm shots. We also train them on how to be better at smashing and how to improve their net play.

 Training Seasons

We train our players differently depending on whether it's the season or off-season. During the season, we focus on maintaining their fitness levels, and on practicing match-like situations to prepare them for upcoming tournaments. During the off-season, we focus more on building their strength and agility, and improving their techniques.

 Diet and Nutrition

We also advise our players on the importance of maintaining a healthy diet and nutrition. We believe that a balanced diet is key to achieving their goals and performing at their best.

 Outdoor Agility Exercises

In addition to on-court training, we also incorporate outdoor agility exercises into our training regimen. These include exercises such as ladder drills, cone drills, and shuttle runs. These exercises help our players to improve their speed, agility, and overall fitness levels.

 Conclusion

As a badminton coach, my goal is to help my players achieve their full potential and to develop a love for the sport. I believe that with the right training, dedication, and hard work, anyone can become a great badminton player.

Thanks
