Kyorugi
Seniors 17 Years & Older
Juniors 15 - 17 Years
Cadet 12 - 14 Years
Given this event is run on separate days, Juniors may also opt to compete in the Seniors division.

MEMBERSHIP
Participants must be members of their National Federation, affiliated to the WT.
Each athlete must be a holder of a Global Athlete Licence. Global Licence applications and renewals can only be made through the respected WT MNA and via the Simply Compete GMS.
Applications must be made 2 months prior to these events to ensure the licence can be approved in time.
Coach Eligibility
- Coaching is only allowed in sportswear (no Dobok).
- All coaches must be 18 years or older
- Coaches must hold a valid WT Coach License Level 1 Coach Certification or higher
- Holder of a valid WT Global Official License
- Member of the team/club of a pertinent Member National Association, recognised by the Oceania Taekwondo Union or World Taekwondo
- WT Para Coach Certificate Level 1 is required for all Para divisions.

- OVR SYSTEM: Martial Events / Taekwondo Management System
- IVR QUOTA: 1 x IVR Quota will apply to all Kyorugi matches.
COMPETITION:
- WT Single elimination / Best of 3 Rounds will apply to Kyorugi matches
- Senior Matches 3 rounds x 2 minutes x 1 minute Rest break
- Junior Matches 3 rounds x 1.5 minutes x 1 minute Rest break
- Cadet Matches 3 rounds x 1.5 minutes x 1 minute Rest break
- Para Matches 1 round of 5 minutes with two 1/2 minute rest breaks
- Round times may be adjusted as per the direction of the WT Appointed Technical Delegate
ANTI-DOPING: Athletes may be randomly selected to be tested.
AWARDS: 1st, 2nd and (2) 3rd Places will be awarded
FIELD OF PLAY: Only Athletes and Coaches will be permitted into the warm-up area and field of play.
EQUIPMENT:
- Athletes must purchase and wear their own WT APPROVED leg guard, shin guard, mouth guard, gloves and KPNP foot socks.
IDENTIFICATION:
- All international competitors and visitors need to hold a valid passport with an expiry date no less than 6 months after the event. All other competitors and or visitors must hold either a passport as above or a valid national identification card.
LIABILITY:
- All competitors, officials and visitors participate at their own risk. The MNA, Australian Taekwondo, bears no responsibility for any damages, losses, injuries, or other circumstances due to (directly or indirectly) acts of terrorism, COVID-19, or other misfortune. All participants must be covered by their own medical insurance and/or travel insurance
- Those who are not recognised as adults (under aged) by law in their own country must supply a written consent together with valid identification, signed by their parents or legal guardians.

International Referees
- Appointment of all International Referees will be made via the Organising Committee, on or before May 31, 2025
- The Organising Committee will provide a daily per diem of USD$150, accommodation, board, and transport to each selected International Referee
- Arrival/Departure, Check-In/Check-Out dates will be forwarded to each referee upon acceptance of appointment.

Accomodation & Transport
Accommodation
- Accommodation charges for room and board of athletes and official teams shall be borne by each individual or team. The Organising Committee bears no financial responsibility.

- The Organising Committee does not guarantee any advertised fees or charges by any hotels.
Transport
- Round trip airfare of each participant and/or official shall be borne by each individual.
- Due to the large number of participants expected, the Organising Committee WILL NOT be providing any ground transport to/from the airport or to/from the competition venue.

In Taekwondo, courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control and indomitable spirit should guide all athletes and coaches - on and off the mat.
Our members and visitors should amplify these five tenets of Taekwondo, and the values of Australian Taekwondo, to ensure a safe, respectful and welcoming martial art and sport for all.
Competition Codes of Conduct
All attendees must comply with Australian Taekwondo's Codes of Conduct and applicable policies at these events. Sanctions are now enforced for policy breaches. To view our policies, please click here.
Australian Taekwondo maintain a zero-tolerance policy for verbal, aggressive, and violent behaviour directed at our staff, officials, athletes, coaches, and spectators. Individuals displaying such conduct will be promptly removed from the venue.
