Start Skippering (L3) - Skipper / Seamanship

You will now advance your sailing skills and safety knowledge to enable you to skipper unsupervised in sheltered waters.

Course Overview

This course introduces participants to the basics of sailing on keelboats, including boat handling, safety and sailing theory.  L1 and L2 students can learn together on the same boat.

Course Prerequisites

Water confident.

Who should do this course?

This course is designed for participants who wish to begin sailing in a keelboat. Learn the basics, whilst staying relatively dry! All the equipment and safety gear will be provided by Atlas Sailing.

Course Outcome

You will gain your Start Skippering completion certificate.

Atlas Sailing abides by the Australian Sailing Instructor/Participant ratios, hence places are strictly limited. All programs are subject to change with limited notice, based on demand and availability and weather conditions.

Please read the Atlas Sailing refund policy before registering. Refunds will not be provided for cancellations less than 14 days prior to the event as there are limited places available. If a session is cancelled due to weather, or another force majeure circumstance, participants will be offered a place on another scheduled date or a full refund.
