CLUB EQUIPMENT MANAGER UPSKILLING

Athletics North Queensland is offering an exciting opportunity for club Equipment Managers and volunteers to upskill their practical knowledge in organising, preparing for and managing athletics competitions more effectively.  This could be for a regular club day competition or a more higher-level competition.  The Equipment Manager is responsible for preparing and inspecting all competition facilities and equipment, and for overseeing equipment delivery and removal during the competition.  Registrations close September 23, 2026.

What You Will Learn

1)     How to maintain and get the best use and life out of your equipment for your club overtime

2)    How to certify equipment – Does your equipment still meet correct standards?

3)    Preparing equipment for upcoming events

4)    Determining whether your equipment is still in good working order and safe to use leading into a club day/competition or the upcoming season

5)    Ensuring the necessary equipment is ready for you to run an event

6)    Ensuring the correct amount of equipment for an event site

7)    Making sure an event site is set up correctly

8)    Making sure equipment and events sites are suitable and safe
