Nominations are now open for the 2026 Regional Australia Team competing at the Oceania Championships in Darwin, Northern Territory ~ 17th - 23rd May 2026. Athletes that are interested or want to be part of this team must submit a nomination by no later than 17th March 2026

Before nominating, athletes and parents should read the Team Selection policy. This is on our website under teams.

The Team will consist of Senior, U18 and Para age groups only. Oceania are only allowing Pacific Island Member Federations to compete in the U20 age group and as such we are not permitted to send athletes. Any U20 athlete wishing to compete can do so as a Senior. For this to apply you will need to have qualified with the Open entry qualifications. Selection criteria (set out below) will apply to the selection of the team for athletes.  Athletes must be 15yrs (2009) or older in the year of competition. 

Only those athletes who qualify according to this clause 3.1 will be eligible for selection in the Team:

• • Be a citizen of Australia (including permanent resident)
  • Be a registered member of Athletics Australia through an affiliated body or club
  • Complete and submit the Application for Consideration for Selection by Tuesday 17th March 2026.
