During their last year of the Nipper Program, Under 14 Nippers (aged 13 as at 30 September 2022) undertake training for the Surf Rescue Certificate (SRC). This award teaches basic first aid, resuscitation and surf rescue skills enabling candidates to become training cadet lifesavers who can take part in beach patrols.

The SRC is a 20 hour course dates/times can be viewed here. Under 14 Nippers will meet at the club on the first day and be advised each day where to meet. 

Cost: $50 plus membership. 

The Public Safety and Aquatic Rescue 35th Edition (PSAR35) training manual now has 10 modules that align with the new SRC and BM curriculum, and training sessions. The PSAR35 manual is also now electronic and accessible on a mobile device (visit Click here for details).

I M P O R T A N T  -   P L E A S E   R E A D 

Please follow steps 1 - 4  below before continuing to the online U14 SRC registration. Failure to do so will mean your child cannot be registered for this program. 

  1. Working with Children Check (WWCC) Parents/guardians aged 18 years and older must obtain or update a WWCC - for further details please click here.
  2. Renew/Apply and Pay for Membership for each member of your family who wants to be involved. Please read the information on our Membership website page, including details about how to create your family group. 
  3. Receive your Membership Confirmation from Anglesea SLSC - this will be emailed to you once we have finished processing your membership/s. 
  4. Download and complete the SRC Timed Swim form.
  5. Register for U14 SRC. Once steps 1 to 4 are complete, continue with this online U14 SRC Registration.

As part of this enrolment process you will be required to upload supporting documents. Please download, complete and have the applicable forms on your computer ready to upload during your online registration:

  • Member Card from Anglesea SLSC (this will have been emailed to you from (info@angleseaslsc.org.au).
  • SRC Timed Swim Form (a completed form needs to be uploaded. Please scan or take a photograph of the completed form to upload).
