The Surf Rescue Certificate (SRC) teaches resuscitation and surf rescue skills, enabling candidates to become water safety for the Nipper Program.

The SRC is a 21.5 hour course. 

Candidates will be required to purchase the Public Safety and Aquatic Rescue 35th Edition (PSAR35) Training Manual which is electronic and accessible on a mobile device (visit Click here for details) - cost $10.

I M P O R T A N T  -   P L E A S E   R E A D 

Please follow steps 1 - 4  below before continuing to the online SRC registration.  

  1. Working with Children Check (WWCC) Members aged 18 years and older must obtain or update a WWCC - for further details please click here.
  2. Apply and Pay for Membership. Please refer to the email sent. 
  3. Receive your Membership Confirmation from Anglesea SLSC - this will be emailed to you once we have finished processing your membership/s. 
  4. Download and complete a Timed Swim Form. You must complete a 200m swim in under 5 minutes, not 9 minutes as stated in the form.

As part of this enrollment process you will be required to upload supporting documents. Please download, complete and have the applicable forms on your computer ready to upload during your online registration:

  • Membership Confirmation from Anglesea SLSC (this will have been emailed to you from (info@angleseaslsc.org.au).
  • Timed Swim Form (a completed form needs to be uploaded. Please scan or take a photograph of the completed form to upload).
