πŸ›΄πŸŒŸ 2026 ASA National Championships Brings Riders Together from Across Australia πŸŒŸπŸ›΄

The 2026 Australian Scooter Association National Championships were held at Slam Factory on the Central Coast, bringing together qualified riders from across Australia for the biggest event on the ASA calendar.

Leading into competition day, riders spent several days training together, reconnecting with friends from previous seasons and meeting new riders from interstate. The atmosphere throughout the week highlighted what makes the scooter community so special, with riders encouraging one another, sharing tricks and building friendships both on and off the scooter.

The National Championships represent the culmination of an entire season of qualifying events held across multiple states. Riders earned their place through their respective State Championships, making Nationals a true showcase of the best scooter talent from around the country.

Competition day delivered an incredible atmosphere, with more than 100 spectators filling Slam Factory to support the riders. From first-time Nationals competitors to returning finalists, every rider brought energy, determination and sportsmanship to the event. The crowd responded with constant cheers, applause and encouragement as competitors pushed themselves to land new tricks and put together their best runs of the season.

One memorable moment saw a young rider sustain a minor foot fracture during practice earlier in the week. Despite the setback, he was back at the venue shortly afterwards in a moon boot, supporting his fellow competitors and demonstrating the resilience and camaraderie that define the ASA community.

Beyond the competition itself, the event highlighted the strong sense of community that exists within Australian scootering. Riders from different states spent time together throughout the week, sharing experiences, learning from one another and celebrating each other's achievements.

The ASA would like to thank all riders, families, volunteers, judges, sponsors and supporters who helped make the 2026 National Championships such a success. Events like these are only possible because of the dedication and passion of the wider scooter community.

Congratulations to all competitors who qualified for Nationals and represented their states with pride. We look forward to building on the success of 2026 and welcoming riders back for another exciting season ahead.

πŸ›΄πŸŒŸASA South Australia – 4th Qualifier  πŸŒŸπŸ›΄

Munno Para Skate Park, Feb 21,2026

The day started a little slower than planned (with yours truly forgetting the laptop πŸ˜…), but once we got rolling it turned into an awesome day of riding.

We had 16 competitors plus 2 last-minute ring-ins, giving us a solid turnout and some great match-ups across the divisions. From the first drop-in, the atmosphere was high — everyone was pumped and ready to throw down. The energy built throughout the day as riders put down clean lines, technical combos and a few big sends.

The level of riding continues to step up each round, and it’s great to see the confidence growing. But at the heart of it, it’s what it’s always been about — mates spending time at the park, supporting each other, having a laugh, and simply loving being on their scooters.

Massive appreciation to the parents, volunteers and judges who help make the day run smoothly — it really is a community effort.

A huge thank you to our sponsors for helping make these rounds possible: CORE, Grit Scooters, Envy Scooters, Apex Pro Scooters, Triple 8 and Scooter Stop for stepping in to support the season.

Another great round in the books — onto STATES! πŸ›΄πŸ”₯

πŸ›΄πŸŒŸ Osborne Round – ASA South Australia Qualifiers πŸ›΄πŸŒŸ

Saturday 17th January saw us kick off the new year at Osborne Skate Park — and what a way to start the season!

The park was dressed in sponsor banners, the tent was up, and we had a jam-packed line-up of categories — from 7 & Under all the way through to Pro Men, including our up-and-coming girl riders who continue to raise the bar every round.

We kicked off just after 11am, starting the season strong with our first 7 & Under event. Owen put in a great performance, especially impressive after returning from a big fall — awesome resilience for our first round of the year.

In total we had 17 riders across over 10 categories — WOW — the growth of scootering in South Australia is looking better every season!

Unfortunately, the day also came with an injury. Our thoughts are with Henri, and we wish him a speedy recovery and a quick return to the sport.

Despite that, spirits were high, the weather sat just under 30°C, and everyone left with smiles, medals, and plenty of hype for the rounds ahead.

A huge thank you to our supporters for helping make this round possible:
CORE, Grit Scooters, Envy Scooters, Apex Pro Scooters, Triple 8, Scooter Stop, and Wheels & Motion — thank you for stepping in to support the season.

Your backing continues to grow the sport here in South Australia and gives our riders more opportunities every round.

Big congratulations to all our podium finishers, and a massive thank you to the riders, families, volunteers, and local supporters who helped make this another successful ASA event πŸ†
