Children's Week is a national celebration that recognises the talents, skills, achievements and rights of children across Australia.

Children's Week 2025 will take place from Saturday 18 October to Sunday 26 October 2025

Altona yacht Club will host Kidz sail on sunday 26th October (1030am - 230pm) to celebrate this important week.

This year’s theme is ‘Children have the right to a clean and safe environment’ and aims to #celebratearticle24 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC).

This Children's Week event is free to families with children aged from birth to 12 years.

We will provide free 20min sailing experience on our club Pacer training boats, Plus 15min Powerboat rides on our Club 6.0m Powerboats.

You will need to sign a waiver.

We will have a free sausage sizzle, can of soft drink and small snacks available on the day.

You also have the opportunity to sign up for our training program begining in January 2026
