Course Overview
Junior Squad is where participants use own boat or hire a boat (maximum 12months)

NOTE:

• Participants in this course must also be an AYC member as a Junior Member or part of a family membership.
• A Junior that has recently completed a Tackers 2 course is eligible for complimentary half season membership
• Hire of boat is permitted for up to 12months (Opti $75 for half season).
• There is a limit of 3 club Opti's available for hire of this course. If you require an Opti to Hire please contact training to arrange.

Course Prerequisites

• must be able to confidently swim without assistance
• 9 years old onwards
• Skills, knowledge and experience gained in Tackers 2.

Who should do this course?

This course is designed for participants who have completed Tackers 2.

Course Outcome

By the end of the Junior Squad Training course, the participants will be able to progress to intermediate sqaud and/or participate confidently in AYC club Afternoon sailing

Program Focus:

Green Fleet is an introduction to coaching and learning to train.

Green Fleet promotes practicing the fundamental skills of sailing, introduces some foundation race skills through training activities in an environment that is enjoyable, without a competition focus.
