Pennant Information Term 3 2025

What’s New:

Due to some players being unavailable this Pennant, we have had to make some changes to our ‘regular’ competition setup.  Monday and Thursday nights will both now have 4 games (extra game on Thursday nights), and we will no longer have a ‘bye’. Yes, more squash for everyone.

Pennant fees are remaining the same for Term 3, paid directly to the Squash club. However, the annual insurance fees which are paid directly to Squash Australia have had a slight increase (sorry, out of our control).  All members will need to renew their Squash Australia membership before 31 July to be covered for insurance purposes.

Draw:

Please find attached a copy of the draw. It is expected that you will score or ref at least one match. Please speak to the Duty person if you need to leave early on a particular night and are unable to score/ref.

Each match will be 4 games of 6 minutes with a 1 minute break between games as per recent Pennants. Single dot balls are to be used for level 1-6 and no dot balls for level 7 & 8.

Fill-Ins:

Please attempt to find your own fill in as early as possible, fill ins do not necessarily need to be from a lower level but we ask you to be respectful of your opponent’s ability. Use a 'fill in' from the list on the Player List or an equivalent player from the alternative night. If no one is available, contact your opponent to cancel the game. Once you have completed one of these actions please let THE COMMITTEE MEMBER ON DUTY know the outcome to help the night run more smoothly. The Duty person is listed on the Draw for each week. 

Fees:

Payment for Pennant fees and Insurance have been separated. Pennant fees are still paid to the Squash club. Insurance is now paid direct to Squash Australia. It is preferred that you pay fees via a bank transfer.  If this is not an option, you may pay by cash or cheque on the first week.

Term 3 Pennant fees are:

Adults: $45

Juniors: $30 (18 or under)

Insurance fees – All players are due to renew their Squash Australia membership which will cover them for insurance purposes until 30 June 2026.  Existing members should have already received an email from Squash Australia explaining the renewal process. All new players will need to register with Squash Australia via the link below. If this is your first time registering insurance directly with Squash Australia you will need to select ‘new member’ when registering.
