Each athlete is allowed two training sessions and one competition day before they decide whether to fully register. This is covered under insurance policy so long as you keep records.
Families should only complete a full registration if they are registering for the full season.
It is recommended that Centres hold a “Come and Try” day for new athletes at the start of the season.
A “Come and Try” online registration or paper form must be completed to ensure you have the athlete’s details and they are covered by insurance.
Online Come and Try registrations (if enabled by your Centre) will be valid for 14 days. After this period, the family will see a message in ResultsHQ asking whether they wish to complete a full registration.
Centres should provide clear information to families, to ensure they know what they are signing up for, whether it be a “Come & Try”, full registration or another program.
Once athletes have completed a full registration, they may only be refunded by Athletics West under certain circumstances (see the Little Athletics program Refund Policy).
