This is a fun, social, family friendly event open to everyone.
Your strategy and pacing matter much more than raw speed!
Race Concept & Rules
- The Goal: You must predict your 5km finish time before the race begins.
- No Technology: You must run or walk the entire course without a watch, phone, GPS device, or fitness tracker.
- How You Win: The absolute winner is the participant whose actual chip time is closest to their predicted time. Because victory is based on accuracy rather than speed, an Olympic athlete, a casual walker, or a complete beginner all have an equal chance of winning the top prize.
Event Details
- Date: Monday, 8 June 2026.
- Time: The main 5km race starts at 10:00 am sharp. Check-in and on-the-day registrations open at 8:30 am and close by 9:45 am.
- Location: Adelaide Harriers Clubrooms, located at Park 20 in the South Parklands (Corner of Peacock Road and South Terrace, Adelaide SA).
- The Course: A flat, family-friendly, 2-lap loop (2.5km per lap) winding along the smooth footpaths of Park 20, and includes a lap or two of the grass track.
- Prizes: Great prizes and plent of random draw prizes. Awards are presented to the top finishers closest to their predicted times, alongside traditional recognition for the fastest overall male and female runners.

Participant Guidelines
- Open to All: No club memberships or official prerequisites are required to participate.
- Age Limits: Children under the age of 11 must be actively accompanied by an adult chaperone on the course.
- Pets: Dogs are welcome to join the fun but must remain under close control on a short leash at all times.
