NB Futbol Academy are a newly established football academy in Australia with extensive coaching and playing experience locally and overseas. Our vision is “creating a pathway” for children to achieve their goals.
Main duties/responsibilities:
Co-ordinating, delivering and promoting relevant soccer programs, activities, classes and events, often within a specific community or to targeted groups.
Employing, training, supporting, developing and managing coaches and centre staff.
Organize and run all coaching programs with age range from 5– 12, 12-16
Raising public awareness of health and fitness issues and promoting participation in sport.
Evaluating and monitoring program outcomes using performance indicators, maintaining records and producing written reports on a regular basis to owners.
Managing resources and a budget and identifying potential opportunities for external funding.
Working within specific guidelines, e.g. equal opportunities, health and safety, child protection, offering coaching and supervision at both social and professional level.
Develop best practice in coaching and youth development.
Working closely with schools, out of hours care, charities, sporting clubs and local government to deliver a programme of activities maintaining inclusivity in sports.
Build strong relationships with parents and coaches
Attending local, regional and national meetings, seminars and conferences as required.
Must continuously represent the business at the highest level. Never act in an inappropriate manner whilst at work or whenever driving a company vehicle.
Arrange soccer tours to Spain for kids and parents. Candidate must be able to travel for minimum 3 weeks per year
Qualifications and experience:
Tertiary qualifications in Sports Science, Sports Management or similar
Current first aid certificate
Minimum of three years’ experience in a relevant industry in the area of sport management, recreation or community development fields
Must have playing experience at a high level
Minimum one years´ experience in a soccer academy, school and one on one coaching including holiday clinics
Must have practical experience coaching kids 5-18 years old
Must have a driver's license
Working with Children's and Police check
Preference will be given to candidates minimum Football Federation Australia (FFA) “Senior C License” coaching qualification
Knowledge and skills:
Passionate about football and working with kids
Good level of fitness
Self-motivated with a can-do attitude
Strong inter-personal and team skills and an ability to interact effectively with a diverse range of clients and partners
Excellent time management and organization skills
Sound written, oral, presentation and facilitation skills
Competent computer skills
Knowledge of Spanish language desired for longer term development with Villarreal coaching staff and during soccer tours in Spain
Availability:
Mon-Fri before and after school hours and school lunchtime period.
Will be required to work weekends.
School hours and terms
School holiday Clinics (3 days x 6 hours a day, per school holiday week)
Candidate must be able to travel for minimum 3 weeks per year
