Who Are We?
Sydney Schools Football Referees Association (SSFRA) is an affiliated referees branch of Football NSW. We provide officials for the GPS, CAS, ISA, CIS & IGSSA football competitions. The majority of games we officiate are senior school boy & girl matches – 1st and 2nd Grade (equivalent of U18 Div 1 & 2).
Requirements?
• Basic knowledge of football and an interest in the game is beneficial
• No previous soccer refereeing experience is required
• Reasonable level of fitness
• Ability to travel around Inner West, North Shore & Eastern Suburbs for games
Full training is provided by SSFRA to successful candidates.
Match Fees?
A referee can earn up to $60/hr in some instances, with assistant referees earning up to $30/hr. Over the course of the season a referee could expect to earn up to $2000 depending on their availability.
