Student Placement Role: Sport NSW is currently seeking university students looking to carry out work placements and gain workplace learnings and experiences. The students will work on two major conferences, responsible for a range of operational and administrative tasks as well as on the day running of the two events.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Engagement with key Sport NSW stakeholders, including NSW State Sporting Organisations and commercial partners.
General operational and administrative tasks.
Involvement in event day operations, including set-up, registration, catering and event shut-down.
Event reporting, survey and data collection as required.
Plus additional tasks as required, dependant on Sport NSW workflow and demands.
Key Relationships:
This position involves internal and external communication with Sport NSW staff, members and stakeholders including State Sporting Organisations, corporate partners, preferred suppliers, local councils and other industry bodies.
Selection Criteria:
Motivated team player who values a good work ethic.
Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills, with great attention to detail.
Ability to work autonomously and efficiently, completing tasks in a timely manner.
Location and Hours of Work:
This position is based at Sydney Olympic Park and is a part-time, volunteer role. Students must be available to work full days on Wednesday, 17 February – Friday, 19 February 2021. Commencement immediately, with additional hours prior to and after the Conference dates negotiable.
