Employer: Wheelchair Sports NSW

Position: Assistant Coach - GIO NSW Gladiators Wheelchair Rugby Team

Pay: This is a currently a volunteer role with potential to become a paid role

Working Hours: Trainings are held weekly at Sydney Olympic Park on Tuesdays 4pm - 7pm. Regular monthly games are held generally on the first Saturday of each month 9am - 12pm. 


About the role:

Assistant Coach - Working alongside our Head Coach and Strength & Conditioning coach to deliver the best Wheelchair Rugby program in the country. Integral to this role is the delivery of a program focusing on excellence in team & individual preparation & performance for the representative season. The program features a number of Australian Paralympians and has a goal of winning the National Championships. There is an opportunity to grow and take the lead on the program in the future.

The GIO NSW Gladiators are the representative Wheelchair Rugby team. Training sessions include representative level players and players striving to make the representative team.

  • Coaching degree, accreditation or equivalent
  • Extensive experience coaching
