Carlingford Netball Club is seeking students who may be completing sports related studies, and who are looking for meaningful sports coaching and leadership volunteering opportunities within the local community.

About Carlingford Netball Club
Carlingford Netball Club is a local volunteer-run community sporting club based in North Rocks, and services a broad catchment across surrounding suburbs, reflecting the strong links between local schools, families and community sport.

The club draws its players from a wide range of local primary and secondary schools, with many students joining the club through friendships, representative pathways or family connections. As a result, it is closely connected to the local school community and plays an important role in supporting young people to remain active, build friendships and develop confidence outside the classroom.

Each season, our club fields teams across multiple junior age groups, from NetSetGo for 5-9 year olds playing Friday nights, to 10-15 year olds competing in Saturday competition through the Winter season. The club also contributes senior teams in the 16-19 year age bracket across divisions. We pride ourselves on being a club that welcomes players of all abilities – from those new to netball through to more serious netballers – and on creating a positive environment where participation, effort and enjoyment are valued.

Beyond netball, the club contributes to the wider community by fostering leadership in young people, encouraging volunteering, and supporting pathways into coaching and umpiring roles.

The volunteer opportunity
We are currently seeking students looking for volunteer experience to complement their studies. The opportunity to play for Carlingford Netball Club is also available and warmly welcomed.

In its appreciation to volunteer coaches, the club is committed to ensuring that student volunteers feel confident, supported and valued, and as such, will cover the cost of the foundation coaching course, provide coaching resources, and provide mentoring and support to make their experience a success.
