About the Role
The Eastern Suburbs Academy League (ESAL) is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable volunteer to assist with the smooth operation of its 2025 Summer Competition. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in sports event management and develop a pathway toward future paid positions in refereeing or coaching.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and check field cones, penalty markers, and layouts before each match. - Coordinate the 'Player of the Match' award and assist with medal presentations. - Capture photos and updates throughout match days for promotional use. - Assist parents and players with field directions and match information. - Support referees and organisers in maintaining a professional and positive environment.
Requirements
• Applicants aged 18 years or older must hold a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC). • Enthusiasm for sport and teamwork. • Strong communication and reliability.

Students in sports, recreation, or physical education, or anyone eager to gain grassroots sports experience and contribute to youth football development.
