• Short description about your organisation, its aims, functions and who it serves: IENA is an official US Government Visa Sponsor. IENA’s role is to find, vet and sponsor the J1 visa for Full time or recent University, College Students.
• Position title: Any – this is a 12 month Working Holiday visa for the USA. You can apply for casual or career jobs.
• Whether internship, voluntary or paid: You will earn the same wages as an American doing the same job.
• (If not fulltime) Hours per week / time commitment (if known); You can work as much or as little as you like for up to 12 months.
• Rate of pay (please also specify if internship is paid): This is job dependent min wages in the USA could be between USD$5 - USD$25 p/h.
• Description of the role: what is the purpose, who is it working with, what are the main tasks: This is a flexible working holiday. You can work in the same city or work and travel your way around the USA. You can work for the full 12 months with one employer or split your work. Past participants have worked in Ski resorts over the winter and then worked summer jobs in other locations or worked for a US employer in the same field as their study. There is lots of flexibility in what you can do and where you can work and go within the USA.
• Selection criteria - what skills, experience or qualities are you looking for? Which are essential, which are desired? Current Fulltime University / College Student or recent graduate. Please note you must arrive in the USA within 12 months of when you were last in class at University/College.
