Water Polo NSW (WPNSW) is excited to host the 2024 NSW State Championship, taking place from 14th-22nd December 2024 in Sydney. Held across two venues—Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre and Pymble Ladies’ College Aquatic and Fitness Centre—this prestigious event will showcase the best water polo talent from across the state.

To ensure the success of this event, we are seeking dedicated volunteers to assist in various roles. Your support will be crucial in providing athletes and spectators with a seamless and memorable experience.

Volunteer Roles:

•Pool Controllers: Oversee game-day logistics, ensuring teams are prepared on time, wearing the correct cap colors, and positioned at the right ends of the pool. Pool controllers also deliver scorecards to the competition manager and supervise daily setup and pack-down. They may adjust ball sizes as needed for different divisions.
•Bump In/Bump Out Crew: Assist with setting up and packing down venue equipment.
•ThinkActPlay Marshall: This role will be responsible for managing spectator behavior and ensuring a positive environment.
•Referee Coordinator: The Referee Coordinator will handle the scheduling of referees, ensure they are briefed on rules and match procedures, and resolve any officiating issues that may arise during the event.
•Timekeepers/Scorers: Assist with keeping time and scoring during matches. (Water Polo Knowledge is needed for this role.)
