The Administration Support Officer is generally the first point of contact and provides efficient and friendly service that meets both customer needs and corporate standards. The position provides broad administrative and financial processing support to assist board members and other community rugby league clubs on a regular basis.

This is a permanent part-time role, 30 hours per week with the possibility of going Full Time. Out-of-hours work and weekend work is a requirement of this position. It’s a fast paced role with a wide variety of duties including but not limited to:

  • Provide exceptional customer service in person, via phone and email
  • Organisation and co-ordination of Board Meetings and Committee meetings, including preparation of Agenda, taking and timely completion of minutes for circulation.
  • Implement and maintain a calendar of events/meetings.
  • Provide quality and timely administrative support, including financial processing, assisting with events, and assisting with managing venue correspondence. 
  • Provide support to Board Members in office management including monitoring and maintaining of the office/room bookings, staff kitchen and office/consumable supplies ensuring these are replenished, and meeting room preparation.
  • Ensure proficient management of time and tasks to ensure work is completed in an efficient manner.

To be successful in the role you would ideally have experience in:

  • Previous club sports administration
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to work with a complex and diverse group of stakeholders
  • Customer service focus
  • Self-motivated with proven ability to effectively prioritise work and manage a number of tasks simultaneously, while maximising the use of internal and external resources to achieve results
  • High volume, fast paced working environment
  • Social media content creation
  • Ability to work with limited direction to initiate procedures, set priorities and manage tasks
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong computer skills including the ability to use MS 365, Teams, Word, PPT, Outlook, Excel and other internal systems as required
  • Proven ability to develop, critically review and a commitment to continuous improvement
  • Be a team player but also able to work independently.

This position is remunerated at $60-70K + super commensurate to experience. The weekly hours required will vary based on needs. This can be negotiated as part of the recruitment process. However, as a guide an 9am to 5pm across Mon-Fri + potential work on a Saturday during the busy fixture season of the year would be ideal. It is essential that you can be flexible with your hours.
