Are you the next Early Years Health Promotion Officer for Western Sydney?

The WSLHD Health Promotion is seeking a Project Officers to support the implementation of our early years portfolio, including the implementation of the NSW Health Munch & Move program.

We are looking for a professional with a health or related background who has:

-          A strong understanding of early childhood settings and the key issues that impact service delivery and family health behaviours

-          Population health project management skills

-          High level written and verbal communication skills (including the ability to conduct public presentations and facilitate groups)

-          An understanding of the social determinants of health and service delivery impacts in relation to social disadvantage, Aboriginal and CALD communities·

-          Knowledge of effective healthy eating and active living prevention strategies

Where you'll be working
Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care for people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Holroyd and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region. What you'll be doing
Improve the health of the people of Western Sydney by contributing to a program of work for an identified population health priority, in line with the Western Sydney Local Health District goals and principles.
 
The HCI Health Promotion Officer (HPO) will work within a team to implement components of the Healthy Children Initiative (including but not limited to Go4Fun, Munch & Move, Life Live Well @ School)) in a defined geographic area.
 
The position will be involved in all stages of planning, implementation, evaluation, reporting and ongoing management and sustainability of these programs to facilitate the adoption of Key Practices to achieve program Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
