The primary purpose of the Dance Instructor is to deliver high quality Dance in a positive learning environment for all participants.
Key Accountabilities • Ability to teach using various dance styles and methodologies from beginner to advanced level • Develop dance curriculums and prepare lesson plans • Ability to communicate with a diverse group of participants • Engage, encourage, and motivate participants to reach their goals • Provide a fun and creative environment • Keep up to date in your discipline and implement any changes to the dance routines as needed • Maintain a high standard of personal behaviour and integrity • Demonstrate inclusive language and behaviours and always represent Collective Leisure’s values • Ensure information collection, recording and reporting related to community programs is completed as per request
Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in dance or qualification from an accredited college or working towards qualification or equivalent teaching experience • Previous teaching experience required • Excellent communication skills • Energetic, driven, creative, and dependable. • Demonstrate patience and leadership skills • A FUN, outgoing, and energetic personality • Enthusiasm • Self-organisation and motivation • A passion for the benefits of physical activity A passion for working with underrepresented groups • The ability to work well in a team environment
