Cranbrook School is seeking an Assistant Head Swim Coach to join its brand new, state of the art Aquatic & Fitness Centre, based at the Senior School Campus at Bellevue Hill.
ABOUT THE POSITION
In this role you will work together with the Head Swim Coach and the Swim Coaches to deliver a high quality and competitive swimming program for Cranbrook School and Cranbrook Aquatic Swim Club. You will assist the Head Swim Coach with the development and implementation of the Cranbrook Junior (Under 13) squad framework that builds an integrated pathway from district to national swimming
The Assistant Head Swim Coach will provide coaching and administrative support to the Head Swim Coach, educate junior coaches and Learn to Swim staff and build strong relationships with Swimming NSW.
The role will ensure training plans are in place for all squad levels and will support the Head Swim Coach to communicate with swimmers and parents.
The Assistant Head Swim Coach will stay up to date with developments in the swimming industry and will seek opportunities to grow and improve their knowledge in order to deliver the highest standards for competitive swimming at Cranbrook.

You are an enthusiastic Squad/Swim Coach looking for the next step in your Aquatics career. You have a passion for delivering high quality swimming lessons and are able to create an inclusive learning environment that is also enjoyable for all participants. You understand the importance of safety procedures, are customer service focused and committed to providing an excellent user experience.
SELECTION CRITERIA
- Previous coaching experience at competitive levels
- ASTCA Development Coach Accreditation (previously Bronze)
- A level of mobility that supports the ability to respond to a first aid / behavioural incident
- Current First Aid and CPR qualifications
- A firm commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- A demonstrated understanding of child safety and appropriate behaviours when engaging with children.
- Previous experience working in an aquatic or fitness centre or Independent School and additional ASTCA qualifications will be advantageous.
