Sport Coordinator, Erina - The Independent Sporting Association (ISA)

The Independent Sporting Association (ISA) is currently seeking a candidate for the position of Sport Coordinator. The candidate should be familiar with the ISA and would assist with the coordination of the ISA's immense and diverse Saturday Sport Program, Representative Sport Program and Carnivals.
Please note: St Augustine's College is facilitating the recruitment process, however the position will be employed directly by the ISA.
Background
The Independent Sporting Association was formed in 1991 and consisted of seven founding member schools. Currently, there are 19 member schools comprising of both regional and Sydney-based single-gender boys’ schools and co-educational schools.
Working with the Director of Sport and Sport Administrator, the Sport Coordinator will assist with the coordination and delivery of all ISA programs.
The Position
This diverse role offers a range of duties and responsibilities, which include, but are not limited to:
- Ensuring smooth organisation and coordination of all ISA Sport activities including:
- Saturday Sport Competition - working with individual sports convenors, development of fixtures, coordination and delivering of semi-finals and finals, competition management, mid-season re-grading
- ISA Representative Sport - working with sport convenors, venue and first aid bookings, set up and assistance of ISA representative online nomination forms and data access
- ISA Carnivals - assist with coordination and delivery of ISA swimming, cross country and athletic carnivals, assist with Meet Manager and Team Manager for Carnival entries and results, venue and first aid bookings, ISA team selection to CIS
- Preparation of all ISA Risk Management Plans
- Compliance duties
- Register maintenance for ISA summer and winter season representative coaches and managers qualifications
- Attending ISA sporting events, carnivals and meetings as required
- Chairing Heads of Sport and/or other ISA meetings as required
- Website enquiry assistance
About You
To be considered for this position you will be able to demonstrate well-rounded experience as a senior leader in a sports-based position. You will have:
- Experience in the delivery of school co-curricular programs or comparable position
- A sporting knowledge and passion. Sound general knowledge of various sports, rules, codes of conduct and the ISA competition
- Experience in competition management
- Experience in carnival management including the use of Meet Manager/ Team Manager
- The ability to establish effective relationships with colleagues, parents, and the wider community
- Strong organisational, planning and time management skills with an ability to prioritise and manage workload, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing circumstances
- The ability to work collaboratively with, and influence, key stakeholders
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google suite.
Essential Requirements
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications and relevant experience
- Current driver’s licence
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as required
- Current NSW Working with Children Check (Employment)
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
General Conditions of the Role
- Salary: By negotiation with the successful candidate.
- Hours of work: Minimum of 3 days per week permanent part-time, working an average of 24 hours per week. The daily hours will be negotiated with the ISA Director of Sport depending on the needs of the ISA
- A hybrid role with a base office located in Erina, Central Coast, however the successful candidate can combine WFH arrangements
- Annual Leave: All annual leave should be taken during non-term time
